"Space-time tells matter how to move; matter tells space-time how to curve"
Gravity is an illusion as a force, so is our linear representation of time.

How may we represent time in a brand new way?"
A string of LEDs laying underneath a thin plastic housing creates the illuminating animation
The design was inspired by our universe, in which our world gets distorted by matter (the ball), and anything (the beam of light) that passes through will follow the curvature caused by its distortion.
Just as time transitions from one state to another, the form with it's variable thickness on the translucent shell creates another transition between materials, which is also caused by the bending of light.
Two USB-c ports are located on the back of the clock, one as a power source another as an outlet for charging devices.
The bottom lighting is powered by a dimmable LED panel connected through a wire that runs through the shell.
The top glass panel has a dome extrusion that dips down into the clock face. This extrusion bends light and adds a slight magnifying effect to the clock face itself, causing the time grid to bend visually when observing from the outside.
When the light beam reaches the dip (the central part), time goes slower as there's more distance for the light to travel.
The End
